Reflet brings some motion to static images. And more to the point, this free and portable application adds a wave effect to images. Load an image, click a button, and Reflet will start playing the wave animation. If you like it, you can export it as a GIF animation or AVI video clip.

Reflet does not have to be installed and that makes it a portable application. To get started with this tool you must simply download an archive (a lightweight archive that is less than 1MB in size), you must extract the archive’s contents, and you must run the Reflet executable.

The main panel on the application’s interface presents the image you loaded. In the upper left hand corner, where it’s usually located, there’s a File Menu, and underneath it there’s a toolbar with several buttons, chief among them the Animation button that starts the wave animation and the Export button that allows you to export the animation.

Load an image, click a button, and Reflet will add and start playing a wave effect. From the Options menu you can select the speed of the animation: slow, medium, and fast. From the same menu you can also select the type of waves displayed by the animation: short, medium, and long.

If you like the wave animation, you can export it. There are several options for the export format: sequence BMP, sequence JPG, animated GIF, and AVI video clip.

Reflet is freeware. You will not have to part with your hard earned money to use this application. You can use it for free for as long as you want.

Reflet works as advertised. Load an image and the application will put a wave animation on it. If you want to, you can export it as a GIF animation or AVI video clip. You get all this for free – Reflet is freeware.

Pros

Reflet does not have to be installed. Download an archive, extract and run the Reflet executable; that is all you have to do to get started with the application. The Reflet interface is very, very simple. From the Options menu you can select the animation speed and type of waves. Multiple export options are presented: sequence BMP, sequence JPG, animated GIF, and AVI video clip. Reflet is freeware.

Cons

None that I could think of.
